My New Classroom

Here are some almost finished pictures. I still had a few more bulletin boards and some other things here and there....

We started school last Monday and I can say I have survived one week. All-in-all, everything went pretty well. I told my mom that it's definately going to be a longer six weeks than I thought...I have to sit down more often (not to mention, it takes longer to get up from sitting!) and I don't have as much energy as I normally would....but I think I've done pretty good. I always forget how crazy Kindergarten is the 1st week of school, but by the end of the week, I could see some improvements. I really like all the people I work with....they are always checking in to see how I'm doing and are always willing to offer suggestions or help in any way.

Chris also started school again. He doesn't like his classes as much as his summer Wildlife class, but I think it's mostly because he's nervous about the presentations he has to do. I'm just glad I don't have to do it! He's also working in the library with the Stacks....he likes it because he basically gets to work alone and listen to his Ipod. Fun, fun.

Hi, Minda!

Okay, two things:

1.Your Grandma is amazing! Blueberry Pie... your nursery goodies! Wow. She's been busy.

2.I LOVE your music classroom. What is the green tape on the floor? Is it velcro? tape? other? And, are those little carpet mats folded in half for your circle? How does that work for you? Do the kids trip over them and mess them up all the time?

okay three things

3.You're really lucky to not be teaching 6th graders. haha
